Expert Roof Repair in Somerset, KY

When your roof is leaking or showing signs of wear, Thoroughbred Roofing is the Somerset, KY contractor to call. We handle roof repair for residential properties across Pulaski County, from older ranch-style homes built in the 1960s and 1970s to newer builds in the surrounding hills. Somerset's climate brings real stress to roofing systems. Hot, humid summers cause shingles to curl and crack. Heavy spring rains and storm winds loosen flashing and lift shingles. Winter temperature swings put pressure on seals and pipe boots. We inspect the full roof system, not just the visible damage. That means checking decking for moisture, flashing at chimneys and vents, and attic ventilation that affects long-term shingle life. We identify where water is actually entering, not just where it shows up inside. Once we find the source, we repair it correctly and walk you through what we found. If you've spotted water stains, missing shingles, or granule buildup in your gutters, contact Thoroughbred Roofing to schedule an inspection.

Roof Repair FAQ

Common questions about roof repair in Somerset, KY.

A roof inspection tells you which option fits your situation in Somerset. If damage is limited to specific sections and the decking is sound, repair is often the right path.

Missing or curling shingles, water stains on ceilings, and granule buildup in gutters are the most common warning signs Somerset homeowners notice. Damaged flashing around chimneys and vents is another frequent issue after storms.

Yes, we repair wind and hail damage for Somerset homeowners, including lifted shingles, cracked shingles, and damaged flashing. We inspect the full roof system to find damage that is not always visible from the ground.

Repeat leaks in the same area usually point to a flashing failure or a damaged pipe boot, not just a shingle problem. We locate the actual entry point and repair it so the leak does not return.

Yes, many Somerset homes built before 1980 have limited attic access and aging underlayment that affects how repairs are planned. We inspect these factors before recommending any repair scope.

Call or contact Thoroughbred Roofing to schedule an on-site inspection of your Somerset home. We assess the damage, explain what we find, and give you a clear repair recommendation.

Response to owner: In the owners response it makes it appear it is possible that it could be a plumbing issue. It was confirmed by a plumber that there were no plumbing issues. So the roof was the cause of the leak. EDIT: They contacted me after seeing my review and have repaired the water spot on my ceiling. They also had my roof inspected again to ensure no further defects of new roof. Poor communication and my roof was leaking a couple weeks after the replacement. They did come back and look at roof leak, but they left without talking to me. I have not been able to get a response about getting my ceiling fixed where there is now water damage. I also have yet to receive the paper work about my warranty.

We called Thoroughbred for a quote and Shawn came out and gave us a very reasonable quote. Much less than the other quotes we got actually. We were super impressed when the crew showed up and showed out and did an amazing job! We highly recommend this company to our friends and family!

Was referred to this company by a friend of mine after the insurance company denied my claim and am very happy I made the call. They were able to secure me a full approval and then did an excellent job on the install. Always had issues with our chimney flashing but they got it all changed out (with copper) and supplied us with plenty of pics from during the install. Great communication and attention to detail. Would highly recommend them, especially if you need help with a claim.

I love how they didn’t push anything on us. Just gave us the facts and options. If you’re looking for a roofing company that communicates and actually shows up when they say, go with these guys.
