Expert Water Damage Restoration in Somerset, KY

Water damage restoration in Somerset, KY often goes hand in hand with mold removal. Kentucky summers regularly push indoor humidity above 60%, and unsealed crawl spaces, aging insulation, and foundation cracks common in the area allow moisture to linger long after a leak or storm. That trapped moisture is what feeds mold growth inside walls, under floors, and along basement walls. At Thoroughbred Roofing, we assess the full scope of water intrusion first. We locate hidden moisture using detection equipment, contain affected areas to stop spread, extract standing water, and dry structural materials thoroughly. Infested porous materials such as drywall and insulation are safely removed. We then treat surfaces with antimicrobial solutions and run HEPA air filtration to clear airborne spores. We also address the moisture source so the problem does not return. If you see discoloration, smell a musty odor, or had a recent roof leak or pipe failure in your Somerset home, call Thoroughbred Roofing to schedule an assessment.

Response to owner: In the owners response it makes it appear it is possible that it could be a plumbing issue. It was confirmed by a plumber that there were no plumbing issues. So the roof was the cause of the leak. EDIT: They contacted me after seeing my review and have repaired the water spot on my ceiling. They also had my roof inspected again to ensure no further defects of new roof. Poor communication and my roof was leaking a couple weeks after the replacement. They did come back and look at roof leak, but they left without talking to me. I have not been able to get a response about getting my ceiling fixed where there is now water damage. I also have yet to receive the paper work about my warranty.

We called Thoroughbred for a quote and Shawn came out and gave us a very reasonable quote. Much less than the other quotes we got actually. We were super impressed when the crew showed up and showed out and did an amazing job! We highly recommend this company to our friends and family!

Was referred to this company by a friend of mine after the insurance company denied my claim and am very happy I made the call. They were able to secure me a full approval and then did an excellent job on the install. Always had issues with our chimney flashing but they got it all changed out (with copper) and supplied us with plenty of pics from during the install. Great communication and attention to detail. Would highly recommend them, especially if you need help with a claim.

I love how they didn’t push anything on us. Just gave us the facts and options. If you’re looking for a roofing company that communicates and actually shows up when they say, go with these guys.
